2018 Annual Meeting

Please join us for the League of Women Voters annual dinner meeting, which will be held on Thursday, May 31st , 2018 at 6 pm, at The Café, 1120 Hwy 315, Plains Township, 18705.

Our guest speaker will be Arthur Naylor – the Fair Districts-PA Coordinator for Berks and Schuylkill counties. Fair Districts PA is a nonpartisan, statewide coalition of individuals and organizations which are working toward assigning redistricting power to an independent citizens’ commission. Fair Districts-PA is leading a statewide effort to educate voters as to consequences of the current process and how they can advocate for change. His topic will be, “After the court cases, is Fair Districts still relevant?”

The evening will begin with a social mixer at 6 pm in the lounge area of The Café, with a cash bar and complimentary hors d’oeuvres. The dinner includes a salad of tossed greens with citrus vinaigrette dressing, a selection from four entrees: chicken boursin, Mediterranean haddock, veal marsala, or gluten-free pasta/marinara sauce with Portobello mushroom and roasted peppers; with chocolate bundt cake with vanilla ice cream or gluten-free chocolate torte for dessert.

The cost of the dinner is $42.00 for members and $47.00 for non-members
